General Info[]
Swords are weapons with a long metal blade and a hilt with a handguard used for striking opponents or creatures. Pressing N on knocked players with swords will cause a slash injury, causing them to take more damage from melee attacks. Like daggers or spears, they can be bought at various locations around the map. They can also be crafted. Refer to the Blacksmith page.
All of the base swords (Bronze, Steel, Mythril, Silver, and Witch Silver) have a five strike combo, they also have a special heavy attack, unlike any other weapon. With a sword, you will lunge forward and move very rapidly across the ground damaging anyone you touch. There is a training you can undergo to gain more skills and passives on your sword, called Lord's Training.
Swords[]
Bronze Sword[]
Does more damage then just striking with the hand. This is recommended to be the first weapon you purchase as it deals very mediocre damage, allowing you to get more experience per enemy. False. Exp. is calculated through damage, not hits. Also the cheapest of all the bronze weapons.
- Sentinel - 9 Silver
- Oresfall/Flowerlight - 7 Silver
- Alana - 10 Silver
- Crafting - 1 Copper Bar and 2 Tin Bars
Damage Rating: 9 hitpoints (Proven with exploits)
☆☆
Steel Sword[]
A slightly better variant of the Bronze sword, does more damage but also costs more, This weapon is situational as there are very few instances you would need this since it doesn't do a significant enough amount of damage to justify buying most of the time.
- Sentinel - 20 Silver
- Alana - 20 Silver
- Flowerlight - 10 Silver
- Oresfall - 15 silver
- Crafting - 2 Iron Bars and 1 Copper Bar
Damage Rating: 10 hitpoints (Proven with exploits)
☆☆☆
Mythril Sword[]
The best and strongest out of all of the base swords. This sword should be what you should be using in all (unless you have access to better options) fights as it deals very good damage. Definitely worth the price.
- Sentinel / Central Sanctuary - 40 Silver
- Alana/Flowerlight - 50 Silver
- Oresfall - 35 Silver
- Crafting - 1 Mythril Bar, 2 Iron Bars, and 1 Copper Bar
Damage Rating: 11 Hitpoints

- Morokh Reservoir - 60 Valu

Witch Silver Sword[]
A sword forged out of out of a "mysterious, magical ore said to be blessed by the tears of Naktis herself". Lorewise, it is supposed to be able to have its properties altered. Trademark weapon of the Askarians.
- Morokh Reservoir - 80 Valu
Damage Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆
Sealed Sword[]
Solan's Sword is a special sword found in the Sealed Church within the Tundra with a special ability linked to it. In order to claim Solan's Sword, one must have very high orderly (Debated to be 120 rots after obtaining Sigil Knight Commander) and must be Tomeless. Solan's Sword is a soulbound weapon, meaning it cannot be disarmed and will not be lost upon death. The unique ability it has is White Flame Charge, which ignites enemies with white fire. If used in conjunction with the Sigil Knight Commander's Charged Blow, a portal will open shooting white fireballs out of it. All white fire attacks deal extra damage the more Chaotic a target is.
- If you use it without a ton of order, you will burn to death from the white flames. Do not confuse this with the Tomeless Room's white flame death mechanic, from failing to pull the sword you will not instantly wipe unless at 1 life.
- You must be a Sigil Knight Commander.
- Back then you actually could pull it with any class, but now you can't. There are some survivors from that era who have done it.
Damage Rating: 13.5 Hitpoints ( Base damage )
☆☆☆☆☆
Wraith Sword[]
The Wraith Sword is a special sword only available to the Wraith Knight ultra class. Using a Wraith Sword gives you a higher damage, the m1s don't change when only wielding this sword, with Wraith Knight Transformation you get the M1s and M2s + stance on any sword.
- Hall of Mirrors - 150 Silver
- Requires Wraith Knight Transformation (Passive of Wraith Knights)
Damage Rating: 13 Hitpoints (Proven with exploits), 22.75 dmg with a rune popped (rounded up to 23 because all decimals in rogue are rounded up)
☆☆☆☆☆
Rapier[]
Rapiers are weapons only available to the Whisperer ultra class, which features a pommel, hilt, and circular guard, with a long and slim blade used for stabbing. They have a fast attack speed, the 2nd best range in the game (Short to only Spears) and can combo easily with the ultra class's skills. It typically deals damage by overwhelming the enemy with combos and whittling them down. Their right-click attack disarms their opponent if they have their weapon or tome out. Take note that this weapon is used by a dagger class, not a sword class but it was proven to be a sword after the realization that it gives sword exp. The M1 combo is 4 quick pokes, and then a horizontal slash to knock back the opponent.
- Castle Sanctuary - 50 Silver
- ☆☆☆☆(4 1/2)
Greatsword[]
Greatswords are a type of sword that is available only to Greatsword classes (Abyss Walker and Vanguard). The Greatsword has an M1 combo composed of just 3 strikes, the power, and versatility of these strikes differing between the two variants. These attacks hit hard, but are noticeably sluggish. Highly destructive if intolerably heavy.
Iron Greatsword []
The Greatsword combo starts with a punch and a kick that go through mana shields, they also have a chance to proc your weapon's enchantment. This makes the Greatsword excellent for forcing mages to let down their shields, paving the way for a swift M2. The Greatsword's M2 is a spin with a deceptive hitbox; it often catches rolls beyond its visible reach. This weapon is one of the slowest melee weapons (excluding the Abyssal Greatsword, because with the Abyssal Smack passive's changed Greatsword combo it is surprisingly fast), and can be blocked/perfect blocked if the wielder isn't careful; however, the weapon deals immense damage and superior knockback. This weapon is not used by many due to the lower amount of damage that it does compared to Mythril weapons. Warlord only comes with one skill, which is Shoulder Bash. Said skill breaks block and will injure your opponent. Regardless it is quite lackluster so many people just use a Mythril Sword to have Action Surge, Pommel Strike, and superior damage.
- Oresfall - 30 Silver
- Everglow Cavern - 60 silver
Damage Rating: ☆☆☆☆ (The fist m1s in the m1 combo deal around 8 damage while the last m1 and the m2 deal around 25 damage.)
Lunar Greatsword[]
The Lunar Greatsword has a different m1 combo than the Abyssal Greatsword and the Iron Greatsword. The m1 combo is composed of 3 horizontal slashes, each dealing moderate amount of damage.
INSERT PICTURE
Abyssal Greatsword[]
The Abyssal Greatsword has 3 strikes for it's combo, one hit where you swing the sword around you (about the same range as the Iron Greatsword's M2), the next hit is a stab in front of you, and the third is a slam of the Greatsword into the ground. The M2 of the Abyssal Greatsword makes you perform a flip as you move forward and slam your sword down into the ground. You travel a bit more distance than the M2 of a regular sword and a bit less distance than that of a dash, learn how far you go to use this move effectively to catch opponent's that are dashing. Hitting the opponent with any of these hits will send them flying much like an Iron Greatsword M2 but with more knockback. Instead of trying to hit multiple shots with the Abyssal Greatsword, try to hit your opponent close to the wall with the first circle strike, then dash over them and do the circle strike again as they are getting up. If you find that the opponent is blocking many of your moves, use the M2 to break their block and then Shoulder Bash them (Injures your opponent which increases ragdoll time to make 'combos' easier). Every hit of this sword deals tons of damage and they are relatively easy to land.
- All Dark - 200 Silver
- Only Abyss Walkers can buy this
Damage Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ (30 damage, Abyssdancer m1s deal the same damage but instead the greatsword hit deals 25 and the dagger hit deals around 5, still equaling 30.)
Scythe[]
Scythes aren't actually swords, but this is obtained through becoming Reaper, with its ultra-class, Wraith Knight being a Sword class. It is available only to Reaper. It has three hits in one combo, the final one teleporting behind and hitting the opponent in the back, dealing increased damage. The M2 is a move that automatically targets people, but it is easily perfect blockable. If lucky enough to hit this (Either your opponent fails the perfect block or you combo it) you gain 2 runes (A class ability from Wraith Knight, Reaper, and from the Dinakeri race). It is soulbound, meaning it cannot be disarmed and you will not lose it upon death. Also has a cool draw animation.
- Automatically gained upon becoming a Reaper.
Damage Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ 20 hitpoints (35 with a rune)
Katana[]
Katana is a weapon only obtainable to the classes Samurai and Ronin. The Katana is similar to the Wraith Sword, in that it changes your stance, with your M1 now being four hits in one combo instead of the usual five. Your M2 also changes animations but accomplishes the same task as a regular sword M2, that being a dash and impale. This weapon is also noticeably faster than most swords, even rivaling the speed of weapons in the dagger branch.
- Sentinel - 100 Silver
- Requires Katana Training (Passive of Samurais)
Damage rating: ☆☆☆☆ 10 Hitpoints (takes 32 hits to kill a zscroom)
Notes[]
- Silver & Witch Silver Sword have different models on the vendor's stand, but when you actually purchase one, both end up appearing as the Silver sword once you buy it. Be careful as you might think you bought the Silver Sword instead of the Witch Silver Sword, and vice versa. (Obviously, Witch Silver Sword keeps its higher damage, it just looks like a regular Silver sword)
- Rapier gives sword exp.
- The Mythril, Steel, and Bronze swords are modeled after the 'bronze sword' from Fire Emblem.
- As a Tomeless Mage, you can use any of the base weapons. This allows for pretty busted combos, such as Druid's Snap Verdien --> Action Surge --> Full Mythril sword M1 combo. This is highly recommended in Gaia and even more recommended if you are a Druid. Since all of the actives of Crystal Sage are snaps, using a sword in Khei is also recommended, but any other mage class should use a Staff or the Staff of Pain.
- Solan's Sword can only be pulled by a Sigil Knight Commander, but it used to be able to be pulled by a Wraith Knight who obtained enough Orderly.
- The m2 sound is the Dash Slash sound from Hollow Knight.
- If you use the sword's M2 while in the air, you will take fall damage depending on how far you have fallen.
